Got my own house le! Yippie...
At first, I was wondering if should I give full payment ???Hmm...silly decision..Sooo....we decided that it would be better to use these cash for renovation...
If nothing goes wrong, we should be able to get our keys within 3 months...or at least within 6months
On our HDB appointment day
Our queue number was 11 and there were 13 ppl queueing for 3 Flats
Chinese quota was 2.
When it was our turn to select the flat, only one of the 3 flats was taken... so lucky...
At first, we didnt even intend to go for the selection as we thought that there was a high chance that all the flats will be taken by the time it reached our turn..
Anyway, the remaining 2 flats are on the 2nd storey...
I chose the better unit number...
The other one was "174"...Read it in mandarin and u will know what i mean
Blessing-in-disguise
I didnt see the actual floor plan of the house cos the whole block was under renovation...
In that particular block, lotsa executive houses were unsold so they decided to segregate it into a 3-rooms and a 2 rooms flats and released into the market for sale...
We took the 3-room flat
This 3-room flat is about the same size as a 4-room but has the price of a 3-room...and most importantly is not near the rubbish chute...
Our Future House
It is 2-mins walk from a coffee shop, a clinic and a minimart.
3-min sheltered walk from the LRT station
7 mins walk will bring you to Buangkok MRT.
10mins travel using public transport will take you to a shopping centre
TPE is only 5 mins drive away and we will probably need 7 mins drive to CTE.
We got ourselves the best deal ever!
Buying a house is a big step in life and so is getting married...
A big change in life...
In my previous entry, I said that it seems that the first house may not be an ideal one...and yeah I still find it true...
Lessons learnt
I used to think that my ideal house has to be higher than 10-storey...
But now, I realised that staying in high floor with the view blocked by the neighbouring flats mean nothing...it also mean that I have to spend more time waiting for the lift..
I used to think that my ideal house has to be at least a 5-room flat..
But now I realised that having a 5-room flat would probably mean that I will be joining the RAT-RACE club... it would also mean that I have to spend more time cleaning the house..
Imagine having a property by the age of 28..and being Loan free...Keke..I just couldnt stop smiling...
