The track pointed by the red arrow below is the track of the Berlin wall
Ok here comes my history lesson again...
Berlin wall was a long stretch of wall that separates the East and the West Berlin. This wall was built in one night, ok maybe a few nights, but the important details was it was a sudden decision to build this wal..
The reason was because the Educate people from East Berlin kept going to the West Berlin and so there was more efflux then influx....in crude terms, all the smart ppl went to West of Berlin so the East Berlin ppl Buay Song... wanted to Keep them from the West Berlin..West Berlin was also the route to other parts of the world...
Very bad right...it's like if u r from West Berlin and suddenly the next morning you found that u no longer can go back to the West.. Isolated, sad case...so guess u have no choice but to stay in the East for the next decades..:P
The below pic showed the remains of the Berlin wall..

the edge of the wall was made of rubber tubings so that it's harder or almost impossible for the ppl to climb across...it was said that's Barbed wires are probably easier to climb over then rubber tubings..

and the ironic thing was that the Rubber tubings was imported from the West Berlin (more affluent than East Berlin) and it was the people from East Berlin whom wants to isolate themselves.

If u really must pass to the other side of the West Berlin, u will have to explain ur reasons to the soldier at the CHECKPOINT CHARLIE

This is Bebelplatz..

In front of this site was a library...and next to it was a church
what's so interesting about this place was that it was the site of the Nazis' first book-burning on 10 May 1933...
the top right picture is a transparent glass on the ground.. it's not very clear though..but underneath this glass are empty book shelves.. again to remind oneself of the importance of books...
the glass is reflective and so one can see his own reflection...this again shows the significance of self reflection..i hope i didnt forget what the tour guide said though...if i am wrong, just ignore ok ...hehehe

The French(Franzosischer Dom) and the German Cathedral (Deutscher Dom)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is the French Cathedral ...hmmm.. or the German Cathedral...
I am not sure cos they looked exactly the same and both are facing each other...

anyway to it's right is the Konzerthaus=Concert Hall
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and to the right of this concert hall is the other cathedral

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Here's the story, one cathedral built first..i think was the French Cathedral and again the German Buay Song so they built another one for the Germans...
hehehe

The Berliner Dom

behind this dom is the Tv tower, shown by the green arrow below.
if u r observant enough, we will see that the top of the Dom is not a cross...
so where is the cross??
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
the cross is on the ground beside the Dom, shown by the red arrow...
apparently the cross was too heavy and unstable to be mounted onto the DOM..
I dunno if the tour guide was Siao Kianing us but he said that the monuments of the DOM appeared green cos Hilter loved all the monuments and he didnt them to be destroyed by the Bombs..so he kept all the monuments in a safe place...after war, these statues was taken out again and place back on to the original area of the DOM...hmm....
So Hitler thought Non-living things (Monuments) was more importance then the lives of Human....??!!!!

Anyway Hitler commited Suicide...
