I attended the 2nd Swedish Society Class. The lecture was fun. I like this class but I hate presentation which we would have to do since it's a non-examination subject.
Anyway, the lecturer was talking about Sweden history and he flashed a slide on with German saying, " Happy people do not have history!" He told us to discuss with the guy sitting beside us about our country history. I didnt discuss it with my neighbour, we talked other stuff instead..like how he saw David Beckham once cos Real Madrid training ground is located near his house, about his favourite Football team, about his test for the next day blah blah blah...
Unexpectedly, the lecturer asked the two of us to talk about our country! GAWD...i was taken by surprise. Didnt know what to say... so I said, "Singapore has no history!"...everyone was laughing...my friend said that's a good answer.. didnt realise until I saw the slide that he flashed...hehehe.. I must pay more attention next time.
Well, this lesson is interesting because :
we will be touring around sweden for free...
we will watch a Swedish show--> this was done on that day...hmm... The show was quite draggy and the pace was very slow.Lotsa redundant details if I would to compare Hollywood movie. But I think the motive for us to watch this show is to understand the swedish culture and their way of life.
