Rome, Italy
My first impression of Rome when I set my foot on it was: BADLY VENTALIZED city..quite unfair i must admit cos it was plainly based on the train I took...The train's windows were filled with graffiti that I couldnt even see the train's stops...
Their train station

Oh yeah, I met SorJie in Stockholm, Skavsta airport and she told me she HATED Rome. I guessed she meant the system in Rome and not the city itself....Her reason: Mainly cos the train conductor tried to cheat her money by asking her to pay a 25 euro fine.Luckily, she didnt pay.Clever!
I will elaborate more later since I also encountered the same problem during my Italy trip.
Rome
-->One word:Beautiful...
-->3 words: Full of Ruins
Ruins make it a beautiful city..
We intended to go to Flaminio Train Station to change our train but in the end we were so stunned by the structure of Roman buildings, Roman cathedral etc that we decided to see the city by foot..

There was a carnival in Piazza Del Popolo..gave out free ice-cream, games etc...

The police officer was attracted to the FREE KICK game...HEY GO BACK AND DO UR JOB!!!hehehe
A cathedral beside the plaza..

continued our way up Pincio Hill to see the city...

headed towards Spanish Steps

just beside this area are the branded Boutique.
I went in GUCCI, LV, PRADA, DIOR boutique
was particularly pissed off by LV's Staff...
i Just wanna asked them how much was the Tax Refund..
such a simple question and they said they are too busy to answer...
probably cos i wore very casual...wow liao...what the hell,so what if i wear casual right...they should treat all their customers equally!!!!IDIOT!
ok anyway,ITALY is not just about branded lah...
there are so much more to it like
FOOD, FOOD and FOOD..ok lah and Handsome guys..think Italy has the best looking guys in the world
and Sweden has the best looking girls in the World...
hmm..wait maybe I should narrow it down to those countries that I had Visited instead of "the world"..

Ridiculously Ex!!!

This place is full of ruins..but amazing that they still left it as it is..

of cos not forgetting GLADIATOR setting

didnt went in cos the entrance fee is like SGD22
and luckily we didnt go in cos Mindy said they only opened two floor and there wasnt much thing to see..
Outside this Stadium, there was some buskers dressing up as Gladiators and I witness some funny yet interesting incident. There was a pretty girl, wearing skirt, taking picture with the "Gladiator" and suddenly the Muscular guy just carried her up ,sideway, leaving her skirt opened for public viewing..DIAO!!!Those Group of Japanese guys standing beside me was like,"WO WO..." and they kept staring at her panty lah...:P
Another incident, two Asian gals took picture w the Gladiator and out of a sudden, the Gladiator started FORCED-french Kissing one of them... the girl didnt push him away.. she was smiling away when it ended...DIAO...weirdo..
Kok kok pulled me away when we walked past them...hahaha
Trevi fountain left a deep imprint in my head

cos that's where they have the best Gelato..keke...
no lah i must say the fountain itself is magnificent..
it's a wishing WELL...
oh...I LOVE GELATO

no no this is not near the Trevi Fountain..it's just some ice-cream stall in Rome
so what's the difference between normal ice-cream and Gelato???
Gelato is sticky, strong flavored and most irritating of all-->it makes u crave for more....
another ITALIAN FOOD that I fell for is...Their thin crust PIZZA..WOOoohoo and the toppings they had make u wanna try all of it...It's so irresistable that i had PIZZA for BREAKFAST...hahaha

Opps...sinful!!!
Italian PASTA...GOSH!! YUMMY
Spagetti
Fettuccine
Fusili
Tortellini
Ravioli
Lasagne
U name it, they have it
I got this pic from wikipedia...interesting to know so many varieties of Pasta
Standard sauces that we tried..Bolognese and Carbonara (my favourite)
we shared their standard Dinner Set..
First-->Spagetti with tomato sauce
Secondo-->Roasted Veal with salad
Dessert-->Fruits and Coffee
I wonder How can one person finished the entire set??!!...
OH YEAH..
If u have read ANGELS and DEMONS by Dan Brown, you will definitely find Rome interesting...Particularly Vatican City i would say...the photos below are some settings mentioned in the novel
Vatican City-->MUST SEE
I didnt manage to go into the Sistine Chapel cos the queue was too long..

Dan Brown described the Swiss Guard Uniform as "Clown"..now i know what he meant...

-->Tiber Village Camp
At night, we drank in the bar of our campsite, enjoying Live band

nice ambience, nice staff, free internet...
I tried Sangria (FINALLY)
always wanted to try Sangria when i first see it in Spain..
after drinking this cup...i decided not to drink it ever again...hahahaha
The bartender said every place have their own sangria...It's basically a mixture of alcoholic drinks with grapefruit and apple..etc...
we stayed in Mobile house...2 rooms in one carriage (dunno if u know what i mean)..The wall that separates the rooms were not sound prove.Cos I can heard everyword my neighbour said...Good for evedropping..hahahaone disadvantage for such NON-Sound prove rooms->every night I heard "strange" sound from my neighbour (couple) in combination with the shaking of the entire mobile carriage...hahaha...ALAMAK!!!
Last day in Rome-->slacking day...went swimming, jogging around the campsite..
after that went Shopping

Next destination:Florence
