Venice, Italy
we stayed in Camp Jolly.Similar to the one in Rome
campsite were a few km off Venezia...

we slept in a mobile house.
Outside the train station, while waiting for a bus to our hostel, we noticed to 2 girls with Singapore accent.
we alighted the same stop....
yeah coincident...
they were in front of us but they made a different turn from us.
while checking in, I saw them walking into our direction ..
So, i guess the turn they made was a wrong one, thus, we were able to reach the hostel reception faster than them.
Coincident....
I wasn't friendly:( didnt have the mood to start a conversation cos bags were super heavy...very bad hor...
then we went into out rooms...
felt really disgusted cos the room we had was not neatly packed.
Obviously the house maid did not do his/her job!
i went back to the reception and demanded a room service...
they suggested a change of rooms instead...
That's better...
yeah and so guess what...
they gave us a room which is beside the two Girls....
Coincident..
Singapore population 4.4 millions...not a small number...
we didnt went any where on our first day of arrival. I stayed in the hostel and watched Princess Hour while Kok Kok finished up his Angels and Demons

Next day, we went to Venice...


Floating city..so many small streets (not shown in the map)
so I didnt bother to follow the map.Just walked blindly....
bought lots of accessories here...

Roads in Venice..
Lonely planet stated that Venice is an expensive place...
yeah i agree...
BUT...
they have the cheapest Gelato (compared to Rome,Florence and Milan)
1 euro per scoop and it's a big scoop...

The one euro one scoop gelato doesnt apply to this After-Eight ice-cream ...

I wanted to eat NICE NICE ice-cream with decoration...

Kok Kok bought me to this restaurant..

SGD$12 After-Eight ice cream...

For this i am willing to be RIPPED...hahaha..

shame on myself for not being able to resist MINT ice-cream...

ok lah i will be more discipline next time....hehehe

Notice the mask that kok kok was holding.. local told us that every Feb, there is a carnival called Festival of Venezia (if I didnt remember wrongly). Everyone on the street will wear a mask and this festival usually last for 2 weeks.

Food were rather expensive here...
so We decided to buy an electric pan and a pot to cook our own food..

I can PROUDLY say i have tried more than 10 flavours of Gelato in ITALY

At 4pm, the Italians will stand near the bar counter..drinking Spritz (wine+ dunno what) eating nuts...

most bars have free nuts and chips if u buy alcoholic drink from them..steady lah...

I hate myself for becoming addicted to NUTS!!!!

Nuts in EUROPE is so damn Ex...

Nuts in ASIA is DIRT CHEAP!

I dunno why I developed craving for nuts

In Singapore, my dad always offer peanuts, cashew nuts..etc and i never (or perhap seldom) take it...

In Europe, I bought a stupid 100g Cashew nuts for about SGD$4...

I can buy 2 packets of MIXED RICE leh...

This city is romantic

but there are too much tourists lah...

we decided to deviate from the main streets...and guess what??!!!

Yeah..we did The most common thing in VENICE-->LOST OUR WAY
Yeah, despite being warned by Lonely planet, We lost our way!

We Wanted to find the 3rd bridge
there were 3 main bridges
kept making the wrong turn and after walking for like 3 mins, we came to a dead end....

Gosh, Didnt realise it was so funny!

After a while, we got tired..
I suggested doing some GUCCI shopping...
soon, our foot gave way...
sat down and rested


This is Sant Marco...the only Square in Venice...

We actually wanted to see the night scenary of Venice
but most shops closed at 6pm
and night fall occurs only at about 10pm...
our last shuttle bus was at 11pm or 10pm (forget le)
so didnt wan to spend 4hours walking around the city
so we went back at 8pm
Kok kok was excited about our newly bought electric pan and pot
i was more curious if the foam maker that i bought works...
*DINK*

Yeah! It works....now i can make my own foamy Cappucino....
